Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Detour Skate Initiative website at www.detourskate.org, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use this website or submit any form. By using this site, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older, or that you are a parent or legal guardian submitting on behalf of a minor. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use our site or submit personal information.

What Detour Skate Initiative is

Detour Skate Initiative is an informal, unincorporated community effort. We are not a registered nonprofit, 501(c)(3), business, or legal entity of any kind. Nothing on this site constitutes a legally binding agreement beyond the terms stated here.

Equipment donations

By donating equipment through Detour Skate Initiative, you confirm that you are the rightful owner of the equipment and have the right to give it away. Donations are final. Equipment will not be returned once accepted. Donations carry no tax benefit of any kind and should not be treated as charitable contributions.

Equipment requests

Submitting an equipment request does not guarantee fulfillment. We will make every reasonable effort to respond within 3 business days, but availability of equipment is not guaranteed. All equipment is provided as-is with no warranty, guarantee, or representation of condition beyond our own inspection.

No liability for equipment use

Detour Skate Initiative is not responsible for any injury, damage, loss, or harm resulting from the use of equipment obtained through this initiative. Skateboarding is an inherently risky activity. By accepting equipment, recipients acknowledge this risk and agree that Detour Skate Initiative, its founders, volunteers, and associated individuals bear no liability for any outcome related to the use of donated equipment.

No warranty

This website and all information on it are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees that the site will be available, error-free, or up to date at all times.

All content on this site, including the Detour name, logo, and written content, belongs to Detour Skate Initiative. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our branding without written permission.
